THE GRAMMAR PAGES
Combating the abuse of the English language

WELCOME
Welcome to my Grammar Pages. This section of insolectual.com, unlike the others, was intentionally designed to not have any special formatting on it at all. There will be no large images, no embedded fonts, no slow-loading PDF files [yet! :-)], no interactive Flash banners or other visual gimmicks. Therefore, it is entirely cross-platform compatible. It can be loaded in the simplest of text browsers, and you do not need any sort of plug-ins to load any element on this section of my site.

ABOUT
The Grammar Pages are meant to be an educational resource for all of those interested in improving their grammar through various articles and sections that I have written. I do not pretend to be a grammatical specialist of any kind -- I am simply someone who is interested in the English language and seeing it used well in written and spoken communication. I will, however, provide salient links to organisations and individuals who might also have an insight on how the language is used (and abused).
Some of my articles might be lengthened versions of what I have composed on my blog and on other places on which I have posted. This is because I considered them valuable enough to be posted here.

SECTIONS:

This article is the article that inspired me to create this little site!

Please avoid these, or I will come in the night and swallow you up. ;-)

NEW!  My linguistic philosophy

This mini-essay describes my philosophy on the English languge. If you could not tell already, I am a linguistic prescriptivist.
